CODE OF CONDUCT

The following rules of conduct are made binding on the students from the day of admission in the college.

  1. Students of Govt. Saiha College, Siaha are expected to conduct themselves with the highest standard of manner and discipline.

  3. Students are expected to be dressed decently in the college. Short-pants, bathroom slippers, caps, etc. are not allowed to be worn in the classroom. Female students are not allowed to wear revealing/provocative clothes.

  5. All female students will wear traditional attire (puan bih) on every Monday. Female students belonging to other communities will wear their traditional dress. Male students will also be obliged to wear formal shirt (with collar) on the same day.

  7. Each student must bring their Student’s Identity Card to College.
  8.  
  9. Students are not allowed to participate in any local tournaments during class hours. The college will not entertain any leave application for such participation.

  11. It is mandatory for students to wear the college T-shirt on Wednesday.

  13. Littering and spitting on the wall /corridor /classrooms are strictly prohibited.
  14.  
  15.  Students who render physical or mental harm to their fellow students or faculty members shall be liable to disciplinary action which may include expulsion from the college.

  17. Students are not allowed to take part in anti-national or anti-government activities.
  18.  
  19. Malpractice of any sort during exam including cheating, copying from notes of other students, use of illegal materials or gadgets, disrupting others and practice of any unfair mean shall be punished as per the Mizoram University Examinations Rules and Regulations. Punishment can result to direct expulsion.

  21. Abuse of any intoxicating substances i.e. alcohol, drugs etc. may result in expulsion.

  23. Tobacco products of all kinds are strictly prohibited within the College campus.

  25. In the case of violation of the above Rules and Regulations by the student, action initiated against the student may include warning, suspension or expulsion.
